Roll Call

Evening peeps.

Again an unacceptable period of time has elapsed since the last time I updated here. I am beginning to feel that this is becoming something of a private endeavour and that in fact no-one else is reading it these days.

Just as a matter of interst, if you read my blog, please leave a comment on the end of this post so I can see if anyone is still reading.

Excted/Scared*

So… I have now finished my teaching course. Six weeks seems to have flown past and yet it feels like I have known the people involved for years.

It has been great fun and I’ve met a load of exciting and interesting people, a lot of whom seem to have led far more exciting lives than I have. It was amusing that a lot of those people thought that I had done more interesting stuff than them* :-)

So I am now preparing to begin teaching for real. My first day looking after actual kids will be the 4th September, so not long to go. Still don’t know what my timetable is or which yeargroups I will be teaching but we’ll see what happens.

Met a few lovely girls as well and we seemed to get along very well indeed - sadly they were all already attached and I wasn’t quite that interesting.

Last weekend I returned to my parents’ house from Canterbury (where I had been training) before heading into London to meet up with a friend for her 25th birthday. Sat in Primrose Hill park drinking Pimms before heading off into Camden for a night of drinking and revelry. Later we ended up in the Tottenham Court Road area in a rather interesting club called Roxy’s. I was told it was London’s answer to 42nd street. I wasn’t entirely convinced this was the case but the music was good none the less. Sunday duly saw me we an enourmous headache (partly sun and mostly alcohol induced) and I made my way into Covent Garden to meet another friend before returning to the ‘rents’ house later on.

Planning to return to Manc on Weds to prepare to move house. Hopefully see some of you at hockey :-)
